Woman arrested after pepper spraying husband following row over him farting in bed

Attack: Cops say wife admits attacked her husband

A wife allegedly attacked her husband in bed because he would not stop farting in bed.


Investigators in Port St. Lucie, Florida, said the woman was arrested after police said she attacked her husband for passing gas one too many times.

News station WPTV said according to a police report , an officer responded in the early hours to a domestic battery call at a home.


The officer said a man at the home stated he was lying in bed with his wife when he passed gas.


The station reports that husband Donald Meikle said wife Dawn, 55, then began elbowing him on his arm.

Donald said he carried on passing gas and his wife continued to elbow and kick him again. He began restraining his wife for his own safety but her "lip was inadvertently split open," according to the report.
