Faking Ebola for Faster Treatment at the Hospital

Port Arthur man denies he made false Ebola claim
By Angel San Juan

PORT ARTHUR - Jose Zepeda says he's been banned from the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. This after Port Arthur police accuse him of falsely claiming he had been exposed to Ebola.

Port Arthur Police Sergeant Ken Corona said Zepeda went to the Medical Center's emergency room seeking treatment for flu-like symptoms.

Corona said Zepeda got impatient waiting and implied to hospital staff that he had been exposed to Ebola.

Corona said, "It set resources in motion, it set quarantine things in motion, a lot of manpower, a lot of money was spent, when he saw what was going on he admitted he had made it up because he wanted to be treated faster."
