It seems as if everything these days needs to come with a warning label. But many of the things we
know to be bad for us are marketed as perfectly safe. When you take
your health and safety into your own hands, you have to dedicate some
serious time to researching the relevant topics and taking meaningful
steps towards better health.

Arthritis
is an autoimmune disease which causes joints to suffer. About 22% of
adults report having doctor-diagnosed arthritis, with 50% of adults over
65 reporting an arthritis diagnosis. One of the most common forms of
arthritis is rheumatoid arthritis, which sends millions of people to
seek medical attention every year. The medical establishment continues
to push drugs and surgery as treatments for such conditions, but there
is little time spent focusing on preventative measures. Preventing
arthritis from manifesting can be as easy as following these 5 simple
methods, which can be used as potential treatments for rheumatoid arthritis or to help prevent the diseas
Wouldn’t
it be nice to just trust that what you purchased from your local
supermarket was good for you. I’m not talking about the convenience
foods, cookies, or highly processed canned goods—I’m referring to the
produce. Wouldn’t it be great to know that all of the natural and
beautiful fruits and vegetables were completely safe for your
consumption?

In
the past, it was difficult to get an accurate measure of how stress had
changed over time. This is because people 50 years ago simply didn’t
measure stress levels; it wasn’t the concern that it is now.
But because of the status quo, the need to make more money, gain more
accolades, or simply pay the bills—stress has become harder to ignore.

Many
of us welcome the summer with sun overexposure or a wicked sunburn. The
sun is a beautiful thing, responsible for giving us Vitamin D and
generally improving our moods. But for many of us, too much of this good
thing can be bad. Sunburns aren’t only painful, they can lead to
premature aging and even cancer. While mainstream sources push the
sunblock, advocating a good slathering every single day on every portion
of exposed skin, they neglect to tell you that you can actually prevent sunburn with natural food sources.

In
a riveting victory against genetically modified creations, a major
biotech company known as Syngenta has been criminally charged for
denying knowledge that its GM Bt corn actually kills livestock.
What’s more is not only did the company deny this fact, but they did so
in a civil court case that ended back in 2007. The charges were finally
issued after a long legal struggle against the mega corp initiated by a
German farmer named Gottfried Gloeckner whose dairy cattle died after
eating the Bt toxin and coming down with a ‘mysterious’ illness.

How are baby carrots made? While obvious to some, many people may not know that baby carrots are not
naturally occurring. What you may also find surprising is that these
carrots aren’t genetically modified, or even grown/harvested
specifically to be small. Showing one farmer’s creative thinking, and
society’s desire to have the perfect looking food, the story behind baby
carrots is indeed an interesting one.
