applecidervinegaruses 220x137 Apple Cider Vinegar UsesApple cider vinegar is one of the most popularly used household remedy for a wide range of conditions. It is a great antiseptic and disinfectant, and it can be used both on the body as well as on items around the house. It is truly a wonderful product that every home should have, and best of all it is 100% natural (and oftentimes organic).

Because apple cider vinegar is a more natural approach and is known to be safer and more effective than many mainstream medical treatments, many people seek its uses when it comes to common conditions like acne, colds, foot odor, and much more. In fact, apple cider vinegar is the one of the most well-known home remedies for acne on the planet. People prefer using this over over-the-counter food substance since it is not only cheap, but it is known to actually work. It also does not pose any side effects since it is made only from health-promoting ingredients.

Spain has outlawed the use of cash in business transactions in excess 2,500 euros in order to crack down on the black market and tax evaders.

The motivations behind the push for digital currencies is exposed as Spain heads down the road of the Greeks in combating their sovereign debt crisis.
As the government scrambles for every tax dollar it can get its hands on, even though they already gave every Spaniard $23,000 Euros in debt last year alone (approximately $32,500), they are now banning all large cash business transactions.
Why? So they can track the transactions and make sure that people and business are paying taxes. Being able to track the transactions is also aimed to combat the growing black market in Spain.

Free People of the World UNITE: The Use of Gold Dinars and Silver Dirhams GOES VIRAL!

Well friends, things are looking up for free people around the world who value REAL money. I just received an update from reader and physical precious metals stacker Dean Arif, the Program Director of Dinihari Dinar (The Dawn of the Dinar) in Malaysia.

Dean reports that the use of physical gold and physical silver in the form of gold dinars and silver dirhams, has spread from Malaysia to Indonesia and has now gone viral in Singapore, Brunei and Philippines!

Dean writes:
“The silver dirham coins will unite the people of this region (Southeast Asia) as the dirhams from Indonesia can be used in Malaysia and the ones from Malaysia can be used in Singapore WITHOUT THE NEED FOR THE MONEY CHANGER’S fiat! And the coins follow WIM (World Islamic Mint) standards (consistent weight, purity and size), so they are fully interchangeable anywhere in the world, making it a true global mode of payment.

Michigan pig farmers have been targeted in armed government raids in which one farmer shot all of his own pigs, now declared an invasive species, in lieu of felony charges.

NaturalNews can now confirm that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has, in total violation of the Fourth Amendment, conducted two armed raids on pig farmers in that state, one in Kalkaska County at Fife Lake and another in Cheboygan County.
Staging raids involving six vehicles and ten armed men, DNA conducted unconstitutional, illegal and arguably criminal armed raids on these two farms with the intent of shooting all the farmers’ pigs under a bizarre new “Invasive Species Order” (ISO) that has suddenly declared traditional livestock to be an invasive species.

IRS Travel Ban: Revoking Citizenship By Stealth

Provision that allows feds to suspend passports of accused tax delinquents expected to pass Congress

Efforts to pass a bill that would allow the IRS to deny travel rights to U.S. citizens who the feds merely claim owe $50,000 or more in delinquent taxes represents a de facto move to revoke the citizenship of Americans without due process and in complete violation of the Constitution.

Thanks to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a recently passed Senate bill, the suitably Orwellian entitled ‘Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act’, includes a provision that allows the federal government to revoke passports of Americans accused of owing back taxes.

New drug can help early diagnosis of Alzheimer's

A PET scan of a brain with Alzheimer's in comparison with an image of a normal brain.
Mon Apr 16, 2012 1:20PM GMT
A new radioactive agent called florbetaben can help in early diagnose of Alzheimer's disease in people suffering from memory problems, US researchers say.

The new experimental drug can light up in brain imaging and tag amyloid plaques that build up in the brains of people with Alzheimer's disease.

Dr. Marwan Sabbagh and colleagues at Banner Sun Health Research Institute evaluated the drug during brain imaging of 31 patients with positron emission tomography (PET).

Studies showed that the scans correctly diagnosed almost 100 of people who had plaques at autopsy.

Since the formation of amyloid plaques occur in primary and symptomless stages of Alzheimer’s, researchers believe the drug can significantly boost early diagnosis of the disabling disease.

householdtoxin 220x137 How to Eliminate Toxins from Your Body, Home, and OfficeToxins are stressors on the body that, after heavy accumulation, are powerful inducers of disease. While you may be fully aware of this fact, you may be surprised to know which aspects of your environment are actually characterized as a toxins or toxin-emitters. Whether it’s the ‘health’ products you’re using, or the ‘healthy’ food you’re eating, the volume of toxins amounting in your body could easily be generating disease. If you’re suffering from a serious chronic condition, it’s essential you identify the toxic stressors currently assaulting your body.

Dr. Edward Group’s “Dr. Detox” show delves into this core issue. Free to watch online without any ads, the program is an excellent eye-opener to some serious toxins that are lurking in your living space which you may be completely unaware of. Your bed, for example, may contain flame retardants that could be damaging your health. On the other end of the spectrum, are you being assaulted with consistent EMF interference as a result of clustered electronics in your home or office? After viewing this series myself, I find it very useful for anyone trying to improve their health by ridding toxins from their daily life.

Being touted for its proposed benefits of reducing tooth decay and cavity development, fluoride is added to the water supplies of a significant number of cities and towns alike. Interestingly, research shows that the supposed benefits aren’t really what they appear at all, and that fluoride actually has no positive effect on reducing tooth decay or cavity development.

The West Virginia University Rural Health Research Center reports that urban U.S. children, with more exposure to fluoridated water and dental care, have just as many cavities as less fluoride-exposed rural children.

Police say a man shot a sheriff’s deputy and a locksmith  when they tried to evict him from the  his apartment which was being foreclosed on.
Police say the man then locked himself inside the house resulting in a standoff with police during which police flew flash grenades, tear gas and other concussive explosive devices into the apartment for over an hour in an attempt to force the man out.
The result of the chaos was a fire during the which the man was burned to death.

Tennessee Senate Approves Bill To Warn Students That Hand-Holding Is A ‘Gateway Sexual Activity’

Like any state legislature dealing with 8 percent unemployment and thousands of its residents facing disenfranchisement, the Tennessee Senate is targeting the menace of underage hand-holding.

Last week, the Senate passed SB 3310, a bill to update the state’s abstinence-based sex education curriculum to define holding hands and kissing as “gateway sexual activities.” Just one senator voted against the legislation; 28 voted in favor.

Since the bill specifically bans teachers from “demonstrating gateway sexual activity”, educators would be prohibited from even demonstrating what hand-holding is. Breaking these laws could result in a lawsuit, as Hunter from Daily Kos notes:

EPA Colluded in Coverup Of Decades Of Monsanto Poisoning

New information reveals that EPA colluded with Monsanto’s decades long cover up of the highly toxic chemicals Agent Orange toxin in their herbicide.

April 13th, 2012
Blacklisted News
2,4-D and the dioxin pollution it creates are too dangerous to allow, period, but in the hands of bad actors like Monsanto and Dow Chemical the dangers increase exponentially. What’s the Environmental Protection Agency doing? Helping coverup the chemical companies’ crimes!

In February, Monsanto agreed to pay up to $93 million in a class-action lawsuit brought by the residents of Nitro, West Virginia, for dioxin exposure from accidents and pollution at an herbicide plant that operated in their town from 1929 to 2004.

That may seem like justice, but it is actually the result of Monsanto’s extraordinary efforts to hide the truth, evade criminal prosecution and avoid legal responsibility.

A brief criminal fraud investigation conducted by the EPA revealed that Monsanto used a disaster at their Nitro, WV, plant to manufacture “evidence” that dioxin exposure produced a skin condition called chloracne, but was not responsible for neurological health effects or cancers such as Non-Hodgkins lymphoma.  Read more http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2012/04/14/epa-colluded-coverup-decades-monsanto-poisoning-118281/

Where Is The Outrage? The Silence Is Deafening

(FEDERALJACK)   The silence is deafening.  Where is Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the media, and President Obama?  I though you were all crusaders of justice? (sarcasm) Where are you all now that a bunch of white cops killed an unarmed black Vietnam marine veteran for the crime of accidentally setting off his medic alert bracelet? Where is the outrage that the cops are on tape calling the Marine a “nigger” and making fun of his military service? Where is Obama saying this guy could have been his brother? Where is Al Sharpton screaming bloody murder and stirring up the pot? Oh that’s right, this was a bunch of cops doing the killing so it’s different. It’s acceptable because the “boys in blue” did it so it must be justified.  This case actually involves white police using racist terms against a black man, then tasing and shooting him and not one peep out of Obama, Sharpton, or Jackson about racism, or calling for the police to be fired or arrested.  Where are the Fed run Black Panthers?  This serves to prove the point that the race bating over the Trayvon Martin shooting is being done on purpose, selective anger by Sharpton, Obama, Jackson, The MSM, and all the others. All done for political reasons.  Read more  http://www.federaljack.com/?p=174413

Where is Our Leadership

WHERE IS OUR LEADERSHIP

As most of you are aware, the Town Council is elected by the people of Lisbon. This council has clearly demonstrated it is controlled by one councilor, Bowie. What most of you may not know is that Bowie is controlled by Brooks. The council (Bowie) selects individuals to fill different panels and committees. These panels and committee are made up of ONLY “YES” men and women loyal to Brooks and Bowie. This has been demonstrated on numerous occasions, some of which are outlined below:

Let’s start off with Councilor Gina Mason and her husband Rick. Gina took office and signed an oath to obey the Constitution, Maine laws and more important the town ordinances. At the time she signed this oath Rick Mason was operating a business out of their residence in a Rural Open Space District. This was a violation of town Zoning Ordinances.

In an attempt to correct this situation Rick Mason submitted to the Planning Board an Application for Conditional Use siting 70-353-3-G as the reference. Section 70-353-3-G states and I quote “Temporary construction, excavating, fabrication or processing.” The Planning Board approved this request on March 11, 2011 without setting an expiration date for this temporary condition. Without an expiration date, this action is permanent.

When questioned about this exception to the zoning ordinance, Mr. Potvin stated the Planning Board is not required to establish an expiration date because this provision does not have temporary in front of excavating. The entire exception is temporary because it states “OR” at the end meaning, all of these conditions are temporary.

However, because a Councilor was involved the Planning Board looked the other way in order to justify their decision. There is no way the Planning Board will ever admit to violating their own rules to accommodate a Councilor.

Now let’s discuss the latest screw-up by the Planning Board. After over three years of debate and word changes the Town Council finally approved the Wellhead Protection Ordinance. This critical document details requirements to protect the Town of Lisbon's water supply.

The Wellhead Protection Ordinance was reviewed and approved by this very Planning Board. Last month there was a proposal before the Planning Board to establish an emergency access road through Zone 1 of the Wellhead Protection Ordinance. This is a clear violation of the Wellhead Protection Ordinance and Paul Adams, Water Department Director, pointed this violation out to the Planning Board in a Public Hearing.

This is the first challenge to the Wellhead Protection Ordinance since it was enacted and what does the Planning Board do; but to vote to violate the Wellhead Protection Ordinance. Many thanks to the individuals who proposed the emergency access for getting with the Water Department and providing an acceptable work around to safeguard the town’s water supply.

These acts are in violation of our ordinances which these individuals are entrusted to protect. However, instead of performing their duties in the best interest of the Town of Lisbon; these individuals do what they are told to do. The Planning Board has demonstrated they are “YES” men and will do anything regardless if it is in violation of town ordinances or not.

Why do we have ordinances if our leadership is not going to enforce them?

Where is the leadership in the Town of Lisbon?

Lisbon Town Council workshop April 10th part one

RECAP TOWN COUNCIL WORKSHOP APRIL 10TH PART 1

The Council Workshop was extremely enlightening and yielded some very interesting facts. There is definitely going to be a tax increase this year in Lisbon. The only question is how much it is going to be. The town manager has convinced the town council there is a true need for a tax increase and according to his figures he is probably right. However, his recommendations are intended to support a tax increase. Remember, Eldridge does not pay property tax in this town.

The first important fact is Eldridge’s layout of the budget is designed to protect and hide money from the people and to cover-up the excessive spending by Chief Brooks (the person responsible for Eldridge being hired as town manager). Under 01-110, General Government/Contingency is a line item (5227) Grant Match which has a description of “Provides Grant Matching for PD Cruiser Video System $10,000 and furnishing to comply with Federal Grant Funding of equipment for Dispatch $15,000.”
Both of these items pertain strictly with the Police Department so why aren't these two line items under the Police Department 02-200 Public Safety/Police Department?
Brooks and Eldridge are concealing funds. Also Brooks announced a $97,000 grant for Dispatch equipment at one of the last Town Council Meetings that does not have to be matched by the people of Lisbon. Doesn’t this sound screwy to you but it gets better because when you ask the town about this they declare the $15,000 dollars matching funds is for furniture. So that means $30,000 dollars for furniture for one individual in one office. What are you going to buy, a surround sound system, plasma television, pool table, and who can tell what else? Also under 02-202 Public Safety/Communications line item 5415 Furniture and Fixtures there is another $400 dollars requested. Why?

Why is there a line item under 01-115 General Government/Insurance called 5255 Police Liability? This Police Liability pertains solely to the Police Department so why isn’t it under the 02-200 Public Safety/Police Department? Brooks and Eldridge are hiding more dollars from the people to the tune of $8,000 dollars.

Why is under 01-135 General Government/Technology, is the Library Software Mandarain $6,000 and IMC software (Communication Software) agreement for $18,000 listed instead of their respective departments? This is strange because under 02-200 Public Safety/Police Department there is a line item for 5271 Service and Software Agreement but none under 02-202 Public Safety/Communications. There is no software line item under 04-410 Public Service/Library. Why?

Two more line items I need to mention that we have asked in the past and so usual it fell on deaf ears. Why are Hydrant Rental and Street and Traffic Lights listed under 03-315 and 03-320 respectively Public Works? Public Works has absolutely nothing to do with neither of these two line items. These two line items should be under General Government because they pertain to the entire town and not a single department. The reason these line items are under Public Works is so that when the town has to explain the budget, the Police Department budget will not stick out as the money pit that it is.

There are so many minor discrepancies in this proposed budget it is laughable. My very favorite is under the Town Manager/Mileage the description reads and I quote “Provides travel for above listed employees. Amount set per contract - $300p/m plus and addt’l travel.” Are you kidding me; $300 per mile?

Part 2 will explain more of the cover-up and wasting of funds.
If you want to follow the line items simply click on the following link to read for yourselves the entire budget proposed by the town manager.

Lisbon Town Council Workshop Recap April 10th

RECAP TOWN COUNCIL WORKSHOP APRIL 10TH – PART 2
Now, we have the layout of the budget identified. Let’s get into the meat of the workshop. The town council had requested the town manager reconsider the municipal budget. At Tuesday’s workshop, Eldridge presented several empty gestures such as cutting children’s story time and summer reading programs at the library.
The other one I loved was cutting the Police Patrol hours or cut a Public Safety Officer and an Officer Safety. I have no idea what the difference is with these two positions because they are not listed on the police web site. Both of these gestures are empty.

In the proposed budget, Eldridge wants to award a 2% bonus to every employee of the town at a cost of $49,280 dollars. If you eliminate the department heads from this bonus, there would be sufficient funds to keep the children’s story time and summer reading programs in the budget.
So the big question is do we fund children’s story time and the summer reading program plus keep the same hours at the Library or provide a 2% bonus to all the department heads? Keep in mind, the department heads in Lisbon’s salaries are $166,000 dollars more than their counterparts in Skowhegan.

Also, Eldridge has $55, 925 dollars for Professional Development in this municipal budget. This means the taxpayers of Lisbon are going to provide funds for employees to obtain degrees such as paralegal. Of course, there is no position for a paralegal in the town of Lisbon. Why are we wasting so much money on education and receiving no return on investment?
Ryan Leighton is not a Licensed Professional Engineer and Sean Galipeau does not have his Bachelor’s degree in Public Safety. Neither of these two are fully qualified for their positions as department heads but the taxpayer’s are paying those individuals top dollars. If our pay scale was more in line with Skowhegan, we would have sufficient funds to reduce our capital improvements by paving roads and repairing town buildings without raising taxes.

Anyone who wants to review the proposed municipal budget can do so by going to the town web site and on the home page go down and click on the budget http://www.lisbonme.org/vertical/sites/%7B23BCC392-4131-4737-99E0-6C6FCE7FB2A2%7D/uploads/2013_TM_Budget_Request_Fund_1_031612.pdf.
I really encourage each of you to do so and you will be shocked by the gross negligence of the town manager in proposing such a budget. Almost every page of the budget contains increases in the 2012-2013 budgets and yet the town has not utilized all the funds appropriated for last year.
Here is the test, pick any page and look at only 2012 Budget; 2012 YTD and 2013 Manager. The first item is what the town budgeted for this year; the second one is how much of the budgeted amount have we spent and finally what Eldridge has proposed for next year. The explanation is you must always have a fudge factor as a safety measure. I agree with this concept except if you do not spend all of the money you budgeted you do not need this fudge factor; you simply budget the same amount you budgeted the year before.
However, since 2008 (when Eldridge came to Lisbon) this fudge factor has been increased every year whether you spend the funds or not so now we are really out of whack.

Taxpayers have to choose if they want to continue overpaying our department heads or adjust their salaries to a reasonable figure more in line with our town economy or to raise taxes every year. In the past, Eldridge stated the increases were due to loss of state revenue but this year we have an increase from $830,000 to $895,000 dollars. So why are they increasing taxes this year?

Now I am going to provide you with the town’s vision of the tax increase for this year.

Valuation      1 mil increase  Cost per month     2 mil increase    Cost per month
$100,000   $100.00    $8.00              $200.00          $17.00
$150,000   $150.00    $13.00            $300.00          $25.00
$200,000   $200.00    $17.00            $400.00          $33.00
$250,000   $250.00    $21.00            $500.00          $42.00
$300,000   $300.00    $25.00            $600.00          $50.00

*These figures were provided by Eldridge.

The town council is trying to keep the increase between 1 & 2 mil. Management of the Town of Lisbon does not understand how to hold taxes. There is no magic formula. It is simple to hold the line by (1) increase revenue and (2) reduce spending. Management or mismanagement of the town of Lisbon cannot grasp this concept.

Taxpayers have to decide how much more they are going to take before we put a stop to this insanity. Come to the Town Council meeting and speak out against this year’s budget before it is too late since the taxpayers are NOT going to have an opportunity to vote on the municipal budget this year.

Warner Bros. shelves Mel Gibson Maccabee movie

By Sharon Waxman and Brent Lang TheWrap
Exclusive -- Warner Bros. has put on hold a controversial Mel Gibson movie project about the Jewish Maccabee revolt in the 2nd century B.C. after reading the script by writer Joe Eszterhas, TheWrap has learned.
A spokesman for the studio told TheWrap, "We are analyzing what to do with the project."
Jewish groups were outraged after news broke in September that Gibson had reached a production deal with Warner's to direct the story of Judah Maccabee, whose victory over Greek and Syrian armies is celebrated at Hanukkah. One Jewish group called it "a moral lapse in judgment."
Bing: Gibson doing 'Lethal Weapon 5'?

Eszterhas delivered the script in late February, and Warner's has since passed on it, according to an individual close to the project. Warner production president Greg Silverman described it as lacking in "feeling" and "a sense of triumph," according to the individual.

As another individual put it, "The script didn't pass muster."

A spokesman for Gibson had no immediate comment. Eszterhas declined to comment.
Warner's has a long history of collaborating with Gibson, but the star was upset after the studio rescinded his cameo in "The Hangover Part II" when the crew protested his involvement

Nail Polish Found to Contain Toxic Gasoline Chemical

cosmeticsnails 220x137 Nail Polish Found to Contain Toxic Gasoline ChemicalLooking pretty often comes with a price, as exemplified by a newly released 21-page report showing that the nail polish applied in many nail salons could be and often is made up of toxic chemicals. It isn’t completely surprising news, as many consumer products like lipstick have been found to contain lead. The information will unlikely result in a decline in nail salon visits, though serious health activism may come about.

The report was released by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), which conducted a study on 25 nail polishes which were claimed to be non-toxic. Charlotte Fadipe , a spokesperson with the California DTSC, revealed that the research found a whopping 10 out of 12 products contained toluene. Toluene is a hydorcarbon used as an industrial solvent for the manufacturing of paints, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and rubber. Toluene can be found in gasoline, paint thinners, rubber cement, and glue, with toxicity sparking from inhalation of fumes or ingestion.

Knowing this information, it is no wonder why you should avoid fast food at all costs. It is safe to say that no healthy individuals would or should be consuming fast food, and certainly no sick individuals who are depleted of nutrients (as a result of avoiding real food) should be consuming it either. So what in the world are fast food chains like McDonald’s doing in places like hospital cafeterias?

The Environmental Protection Agency has refused a petition that aims to ban the sale of a powerful pesticide linked with cancer.

RT – The Environmental Protection Agency has refused a petition that aimed to ban the sale of a powerful pesticide linked with cancer — and while already available, a surge in sales is expected as scientists ready a new crop resistant to the chemical.
Not only has the EPA rejected a petition that sought to prohibit the domestic sale of the dangerous 2,4-D pesticide — a key ingredient in Agent Orange — but the main manufacturer of the chemical predicts that sales will skyrocket in the coming months. The reason, it would seem, is that Dow Chemicals is awaiting federal approval of a genetically engineered crop they’ve created that will be resistant to 2,4-D.
If approved, farmers will be able to plant the frankencrop corn variant and douse their fields with the pesticide to eliminate unwanted weeds with greater success. Although 2,4-D isn’t currently used to a large degree on corn fields, all that could soon change for the country’s most successful crop. Opponents argue, though, that the potential side effects of the pesticide are enough to push for a ban on 2,4-D altogether.

Grass is right to say the West's attitude to Israel's nuclear arsenal involves an awful lot of hypocrisy

Grass is right to say the West's attitude

"It is difficult," said the American poet William Carlos Williams, "to get the news from poems." In a normal week, he'd be right. In a normal week, you'd be quite lucky, at least in the Western world, to find a poem that talked about what was happening in the news, and you'd be quite lucky to find anyone, outside a classroom, or a poetry group, talking about it if it did. But this week, a poem was the news. And it didn't go down all that well.
Günter Grass's poem, "What Must Be Said", which was published in a German newspaper last week, hasn't gone down well with critics, or journalists, or politicians. It hasn't gone down well with German politicians, who have called it "abominable", and "over the top", and "irritating". And it hasn't gone down well with Israeli politicians,
who have decided not to pretend they're literary critics, but focus, instead on the content. Which, it's clear, they
didn't like.

DOJ Distraction in Conjunction with Mainstream Media Launched Against Sheriff Arpaio

ARIZONA — From the infamous “pink underwear” to the recent Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation which accuses the sheriff of illegally detaining Hispanics, DOJ officials, in conjunction with the corporate controlled media have pulled no punches when it comes to demonizing Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio amongst the public eye.

Yet the mainstream media still fails to cover the actual 2200 plus hour law enforcement criminal investigation launched against president Barrack Obama surrounding his fraudulent credentials.
Deputy Assistant Attorney General Roy Austin Jr. wrote a statement outlined in a recent Washington Post article;

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: George Zimmerman’s Attorney Speaks with Keith Johnson

Craig Sonner
By Keith Johnson
The media circus surrounding the Feb. 26 killing of a black teenager in Sanford, Fla. has sparked racial tensions and a rush to judgment against neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman, who has been accused of shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in a gated community that had recently fallen victim to a rash of burglaries and violent crimes.
Zimmerman’s attorney, Craig Sonner, recently told AFP, “It’s my contention, and my belief, that when all the evidence has come out, it will show that he [Zimmerman] was acting in self-defense.”

Police did not charge Zimmerman, due in part to Florida’s “stand your ground” law. “In the statute, it says you are allowed to meet force with force,” says Sonner, “including deadly force, if he or she believes it’s necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm.”

Zimmerman has not spoken publicly, and the pending investigation by a special prosecutor has not revealed exactly what she thinks occurred that night. Sonner is also cautious not to reveal too many details of the case, but insists it was Martin who attacked Zimmerman. The ensuing struggle resulted in Martin being shot in the chest, and according to Sonner, Zimmerman “suffered an injury to his nose and a scrape on the back of his head.”

A fog of drugs and war

More than 110,000 active-duty Army troops last year took antidepressants, sedatives and other prescription medications. Some see a link to aberrant behavior.

In a drunk driving and auto theft case last year, the Air Force pilot was found not guilty "by reason of lack of mental responsibility" -- a result of the prescription drugs he'd taken. SEATTLE — U.S. Air Force pilot Patrick Burke's day started in the cockpit of a B-1 bomber near the Persian Gulf and proceeded across nine time zones as he ferried the aircraft home to South Dakota.

Every four hours during the 19-hour flight, Burke swallowed a tablet of Dexedrine, the prescribed amphetamine known as "go pills." After landing, he went out for dinner and drinks with a fellow crewman. They were driving back to Ellsworth Air Force Base when Burke began striking his friend in the head.  REad more http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-army-medication-20120408,0,1291311.story

Cover-up Continues

THE COVER-UP CONTINUES

At last Tuesday’s Town Council meeting, Chair Fern LaRochelle responded to the question I had asked at the previous meeting about the status of litigation on the $32,500 dollars misappropriated and why this loan was not listed as an outstanding loan by the town in response to the court order. The answer was it is still in litigation and second it was not on the outstanding loan list because it did not follow the proper procedures for a loan and the town’s position is; it is not a loan.

This is double talk by Eldridge. The misappropriated $32,500 has been listed as an outstanding loan list since March 28, 2007 through June 30, 2011. I am in possession of the Purchase Order dated March 29, 2007; the Promissory Note signed on March 29, 2007 and a copy of the check issued to the Atlantic Commercial Cleaners dated March 28, 2007. Since Eldridge has repeatedly admitted there were not any actual procedures during the time frame of the loan, how can the town say this is not a valid loan? If this is not a loan then is must have been a gift from the tooth fairy.

Also, if you remember numerous months ago, Mrs. Dot Fitzgerald and I requested the town council order a forensic audit be performed on the Economic Community Development Department to ensure everything in that department is proper. At that time, Eldridge stated this was totally unnecessary because the town had instituted procedures to ensure there was no way a situation of this nature could reoccur. Eldridge also stated the current procedures had checks and balances to protect the integrity of the loans. Without a forensic audit there is no way of telling if there is more misappropriation or mismanagement of town funds. This audit could also assist in determining who took this money by investigating bank records and personal accounts.

Remember, Mrs. Jennifer Norris who was the Economic Director from July 2007 through January 2008 and discovered the mismanagement of these funds. After Mrs. Norris reported this mismanagement to Interim Town Manager Brooks; she was harassed and placed in an unsafe work environment by Brooks which resulted in her resigning after six months. The people will never know how much more misappropriations and mismanagement Mrs. Norris would have uncovered without a forensic audit.

Playing with words such as it was never a loan because it did not follow proper procedures when there were no procedures to follow; is just another form of covering-up the misappropriated and mismanagement of town funds. The town has done everything in its power to conceal what really took place. The citizens of Lisbon will never know who all was really involved in this theft; nor will they ever find out why Brooks, with all his experience and resources, could not conduct a thorough investigation which would result in a conviction; and finally expose who all is involved with the cover-up.

I know everyone in town is tired of the mention of the misappropriated and mismanagement of this $32,500; but until this cloud of deceit and theft can be resolved who can we trust with our money.

Remember there is no statute of limitation on fraud.

Referendum Question

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE PEOPLE SPEAK
On last November’s ballot was an Advisory Referendum Question:
“Do the voters of the town of Lisbon wish to vote on an amendment to the Town Charter that, if enacted, would require voter approval at a referendum election for each annual Municipal Budget?”
Over 2,000 voters responded by voting “YES” and a little over 500 voted “NO”. It was very apparent the majority of the voters in Lisbon desire to vote on the Municipal Budget every year.

A little history on this subject; both Councilor Roger Cote and Councilor Roger Bickford had been asking the rest of the council to put this on last November's ballot.

The rest of the council refused to incorporate this in the Charter Changes on last year’s ballot. Roger Cote spent his own money and hired a lawyer to write up the proposed change and the rest of the council refused to accept it. Roger Bickford had been gathering signatures on a petition, as directed by his fellow councilors, on this issue and presented the council with the overwhelming results in favor of voting on the Municipal Budget.

Had the council taken the appropriate action at that time, the people would be voting on this year’s municipal budget. Instead, the rest of the council forced the people to vote on the Advisory Referendum Question last November even after they had conclusive evidence in Roger Bickford’s petitions. This was the rest of the council’s method of delaying the process.
Now, the people have spoken (last November) and the council is still delaying the people from getting to vote on this year’s municipal budget. According to the council, they have sent this to the town attorney to prepare the paperwork so the people of Lisbon can vote in November. I do not understand why the council has to send this to the town attorney when Roger Cote already spent his own money and presented the proper wording to the council over a year ago. Simply put another delaying tactic.

The people of Lisbon need to call their representative on the council and demand to vote on this year’s municipal budget. Force the council to take immediate action on the desires of the people. If you do not do this, this council will ignore and delay your right to vote on the municipal budget forever.

These council members are supposedly our representatives and need to respond to the people’s desires.

Poland Announces Complete Ban on Monsanto’s Genetically Modified Maize

GMOcorn2 220x137 Poland Announces Complete Ban on Monsantos Genetically Modified MaizeFollowing the anti-Monsanto activism launched by nations like France and Hungary, Poland has announced that it will launch a complete ban on growing  Monsanto’s  genetically modified strain MON810. The announcement, made by Agriculture Minister Marek Sawicki, sets yet another international standard against Monsanto’s genetically modified creations. In addition to being linked to a plethora health ailments, Sawicki says that the pollen originating from this GM strain may actually be devastating the already dwindling bee population.
“The decree is in the works. It introduces a complete ban on the MON810 strain of maize in Poland,” Sawicki stated to the press.

Ron Paul Breaks Record Attendance at UCLA

p
Wednesday night in Los Angeles, presidential candidate Ron Paul broke his own attendance record, actually set the night before in Chico, California. The news media doesn't always pick up on the subtle, or even the obvious details that set Paul's feverish supporters apart from the typical pack. While the Chico attendance was recorded at six thousand four hundred, the media reported it as "hundreds" of participants.

At the UCLA event, participants had waited as long as nine hours, standing in line, wearing t-shirts, holding signs, chanting, and encouraging political discourse with each other. Of course, they had much to agree with each other, as Paul's supporter's are typically enthralled with his long-standing record of one-message, without changing points of view very often.

Even as this article goes to print, as Paul set a new attendance record (estimates have ranged form seven to ten thousand), the only mention of Paul on the Fox news site is "Paul Increasingly Absent From Campaign." This continuously frustrates his supporters, who turn out in significantly larger numbers than any other candidate in the race. Most complain that Paul is not given fair representation in the major news media, and this seems compellingly shown true tonight again.
