New revelations show the British spy agency MI6 has been cooperating with its American peer, the CIA, in the torture and rendition of terror suspects around the world.

While the British governments have repeatedly denied that British agents were involved in the practice, The Sunday Telegraph said it has seen classified documents that show London has been lying.
According to the paper, the MI6 both submitted vital intelligence and provided support to the CIA during rendition of suspects and allowed one of its airbases to be used by the US spy agency for illegal rendition operations.
The MI6 has also been closely linked to Muammar Gaddafi’s intelligence arm the ESO.
During secret operations in collaboration with the CIA and ESO, the Diego Garcia island, which is a British sovereign territory in the Indian Ocean, served as a pit stop for flights that transferred those illegally detained to Libya.

Israeli officials say if they decide to launch a pre-emptive attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, they will do so without the prior consent or knowledge of the US, according to an AP report citing leaked US intelligence.
­The message was conveyed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak to a number of senior US officials visiting the country, the news agency said, citing a US intelligence source. The official spoke about the sensitive strategic negotiations on condition of anonymity. Both the US and Israel declined to make any official comment.

The Feds have been forced to release their social network monitoring manual, which contains the list of words the government watches on social media and news sites.

Earlier the Huffington Post reported on the Feds have been forced to give up their list of words they monitor on Facebook, Twitter, and comments being posted on news articles so I compiled that list below.

Ever complain on Facebook that you were feeling “sick?” Told your friends to “watch” a certain TV show? Left a comment on a media website about government “pork?”

If you did any of those things, or tweeted about your recent vacation in “Mexico” or a shopping trip to “Target,” the Department of Homeland Security may have noticed.

In the latest revelation of how the federal government is monitoring social media and online news outlets, the Electronic Privacy Information Center has posted online a 2011 Department of Homeland Security manual that includes hundreds of key words (such as those above) and search terms used to detect possible terrorism, unfolding natural disasters and public health threats. Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services has downgraded Greece’s sovereign credit rating to ‘selective default’ in response to the country’s decision to involve the private sector in its comprehensive debt restructuring.

Just hours ahead of the European market opens, S&P has become the first major ratings agency to declare Greece to be in the dreaded state of default.

For months now politicians and bankers have been screwing over the public by jamming spending cuts and massive tax increases up the ass of the people of Greece to avoid a default which analysts have repeatedly warned could lead to widespread debt contagion throughout the world culminating it what has been labeled as nothing short of financial Armageddon.

Despite widespread civil unrest in the form of protests and rioting, in Greece and throughout the entire Eurozone, over the austerity measures being forced into place to prevent sovereign debt default, Greece has entered the much dreaded state of default.

Banker Leaves 1% Tip On $133 Lunch Bill In Defiance of 'The 99%' [UPDATED]

A banker left a 1% tip in defiance of 'the 99%' at a Newport Beach restaurant the other week, according to his dining companion and underling who snapped a photo of the receipt and posted it to his blog, Future Ex Banker. (Update: the blog is now offline.)
In posting the photo, the employee gave some background on his boss and the receipt:

Mention the “99%” in my boss’ presence and feel his wrath. So proudly does he wear his 1% badge of honor that he tips exactly 1% every time he feels the server doesn’t sufficiently bow down to his Holiness. Oh, and he always makes sure to include a “tip” of his own.

The "tip" of his own in this case was to tell the server to "get a real job." Pleasant.

The whistleblower's Future Ex-Banker blog (now offline) included additional background on his boss, and some insight into why he would out his gross behavior, likely resulting in an employment status of current ex-banker:

I work in the corporate office of a major bank for a boss who represents everything wrong with the financial industry: blatant disregard and outright contempt for everyone and everything he deems beneath him. WikiLeaks publishes millions of emails stolen from US think tank

Notorious whistleblowing website WikiLeaks has published five million emails from a geopolitical analysis company that Reuters likened to a “shadow CIA.”

The emails, stolen in late December from the U.S.-based company, could reveal private information on Stratfor readers and subscribers, the details of sensitive sources, and even throw light on the intelligence-gathering community, Reuters reported.

According to a WikiLeaks statement accompanying the posting of the documents, they reveal the inner workings of the intelligence publisher, which works with companies such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and various government agencies.

“The emails show Stratfor’s web of informers, pay-off structure, payment-laundering techniques and psychological methods,” the website reads. It cites a Dec. 6, 2011, email from CEO George Friedman to Stratfor analyst Reva Bhalla, on how to exploit an Israeli intelligence informant providing information on the medical condition of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.

‘Euthanasia Rollercoaster’ Hailed by Anti-Human Scientists

With the designated purpose of ‘euthanasia and execution‘ , the “Euthanasia Coaster” is a concept for a real steel roller coaster that has been created to “show the future of humans and technology.” The creator of the coaster, Julijonas Urbonas, says the machine is engineered to take the life of a human being with “elegance and euphoria.” The idea of the coaster is to send out 24 people, all of which come back dead. A number of anti-human scientists are now hailing the concept as a method of execution that ‘highlights the issues that come with life extension’.

The coaster design begins with a steep-angled lift to the 1,670 foot top, which would take 2 minutes for the 24 passengers to reach. Afterwards, there would be a 1,600 foot drop that would bring the coaster up to 220 mph. Flattening out, the coaster would then begin the process of cerebral hypoxia, or lack of oxygen to the brain. The ride’s seven total inversions would last for 60 seconds, starting with tunnel vision, black out, and loss of consciousness. After first or second inversion, the coaster would cause cerebral anoxia, leaving the passengers brain dead.

After the execution ride, the passenger train enters a straight in which the unloading of the brain dead bodies would take place.

..MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Emerging economies said on Sunday that they will challenge a tradition that has placed an American at the head of the World Bank for decades, as the Obama administration shows sensitivity to the need for change at global institutions.

Emerging economies said it was time to break a decades-old tradition that has long shut out candidates from the developing world and kept an American at the head of the World Bank and a European leader at the International Monetary Fund.

The problem emerging economies face is finding a candidate willing to challenge the United States, which is the largest and most influential shareholder in the World Bank and IMF.

"I am sure the United States will nominate an excellent candidate but it is imperative that the process this time be contestable," said Amar Bhattacharya, director of the G24 Secretariat, whose members include major developing and emerging economies.
